When booking a tour,
it is best to contact a dozen venues per city
at the same time.
Something will pan out.
Rare is the moment when two offers come.
Far more frequent is the fear of two offers;
borrowing trouble on tomorrow.
What if, what if, what if?
Should I not e-mail this person or that?
Should I cut out the possibility of overlap?

This is the fear of my deepest passions;
what if two offers come?
What if they are incompatible?
Should I cut out one at the root,
and charge hard for the other?
Or do I keep dreaming
that both will work?
